Gabriel Garcia Marquez is a famous writer whose works are greatly appreciated by readers. Though, the genre of his works is a matter of argument. Some men of letters don't recognize Marquez as one who writes philosophic novels. Those men of letters state that genre of Marquez is so-called magic-realism.
Though, there are also those who recognize him as the real and magnificent writer of philosophic novels. Gabriel Garcia Marquez was born in 1928 on April tow. His parents soon left his native town and so Gabriel lived with his grandparents. And they were grandparents who told Marquez about the cultural peculiarities of their culture.
Marquez entered the medial university but he never graduated it. He quit the university because of military trouble. He traveled another country where he continued his education. The first works of Gabriel Garcia Marquez were published at those times when he was a student. And that was the beginning of his journalistic career.
As for the genre of his works, we may say that one of his works "One hundred years of solitude" is just the book of philosophic genre. It is book of rather sorrow mood but a number of brilliant ideas about this life are contained in this work. One way or another, of whatever kind the works of Marquez are, this is the work that is a bright example of philosophic novel.
